Overview
I collaborated with The Experience Studio on a kinetic typography pitch for Kia’s EV9 campaign. The brief called for dynamic text animation to layer over existing CG footage, reinforcing Kia’s positioning as an innovative, forward-thinking EV brand.
Execution
I drew creative inspiration from high-energy music video typography treatments, building storyboards around bold, impactful text that moved with intention rather than decoration. The final animation was synchronized to a drum and bass track, with rhythm and motion locked together from the first frame.
I worked closely with the Creative Director and Lead CG Artist on typography animation, pitching an animation style and outlining storyboards to integrate bold text into the existing CG footage.
Impact
The project advanced to Kia’s regional-level contacts for consideration.
